Default fridge in garage

i have a small one for soft drinks. no freezer. anyone else? if so, what happens in winter? should i shut it off? seems like a waste of electricity if i could just leave the soda in the garage. house is too small to have the small fridge indoors.

Just be careful the cans don't get too cold. Then they will explode. I have always kept mine out there in the winter for cool refreshing drinkage.

I have a 4.6 one in the front garage for drinks, but the garage is heated. In the back garage I just bought a 10.0 fridge with freezer but that garage will be heated also this weekend. So I guess if your garage is not heated then turn it off and leave the door open?

I had a large side by side fridge/freezer in a occassionally heated garage but mostly outside temp and it was fine, just left it plugged in, nothing different. I now have a small dorm size one and I am going to do the same, nothing different. I figure if it doesn't need to turn on (being cold enough) it won't. Well we will see this winter, but with a dorm size fridge, I won't loose nearly as much as pavement pounder.

we have a fridge in our unheated barn at my dads. We unplug it, but leave the door shut with the beer/pop inside. Havn't had them freeze yet, but they do get slushy. With the bullet heater going that goes away quickly when working.
