Figured I needed to give this an update. About a month ago I preordered Artec's ZJ 8.8 swap and truss kit: http://www.artecindustries.com/ZJ-88...-98_p_280.html Got an email from Artec the other day and shipping has been delayed a week or so due to minor changes in the design. I also picked up an 8.8 about 2 weeks ago. The 8.8 is from a 98 exploder, has 60k, 4.10s, and LSD.

Bought a new DD back in July so the ZJ has officially been retired from DD duty. I bought a '03 Taurus with a little over 16k on the clock. With the ZJ not being a DD anymore I can start doing more serious upgrades and not having to worry about getting to work.

I started prepping my 8.8 today. Got half the mounts off and cleaned up. Currently looking for a 231 to swap in and planning on having a rear bumper built sometime around January.

Nice ZJ man. How do you like the IRO 4.5 long arm kit? That is the exact setup I want to run on mine, just I'm going to cut the fenders and run 33's.

I really like it. The steering was a little squirrelly at first but after I got the OTK setup it drives like a caddy now. With my lift setup and bushwackers I could clear 35's.

Best tires I've had on the jeep so far. Road manners are very good in all situations. They are excellent in the snow. I have to actually try to get them to break loose. I get a little road noise around 50-60mph. I've put between 15k and 20k on them so far and they are wearing very well.
