In my experience, its not about your rig, its about driver skill. If you can choose good lines and make the right decisions, I'm sure you will be fine. If not, you got a winch

There are runs tailored for rigs from stock to tough. When you do your registration, there will be people there to advise you on which run to sign up for. Don't worry about it, you'll be fine.

Just stay away from Deathdealer's run.

I'm sure that if you say this enough people will start complaining when you hold them up.

Looking forward to this... I've wanted to go a few years now. Need to figure out how to keep the heat in after the flop, no drivers door and no windows on the drivers side could mean

I'll be riding in a doorless xj with some of the roof missing if I go. layers are key.

Man up. Two years ago we ran it in a bikini topped Jeep in sub 0 & single digit temps

I would. Besides the few miles of road to get to the trails, during this past SnoFari one group did have occasion to meet up with the DNR for some quality time that involved presenting a registration & insurance slip. No tickets or anything because we were legitimate, but they do occasionally verify by spot check that we posses the proper trail permits, etc...

The drivers door still goes on I think. and I was planning on finishing up the roof but if your already complaining I might not. It can't be any worse then that badlands trip.
