Anybody from the board is welcome to just come and shoot the shit for a while. I want my shop to be a friendly place where can come and hang out, ask advice, maybe even direct some buisiness to me.

how are you going to do any sort of engine work without a scanner. seems like your throwing away alot of potential income.

I've tried several times to be a full service repair shop. The payments on a Modis scanner/ocilliscope and Alldata shop management/repair data were breaking the bank. Also, I was tired of people whining about a diagnostic charge. They'd tell me Autozone with diagnose it for free. Well now they can have the local parts store "diagnose" their problem and they can bring the parts to me.

This time around I want to keep my overhead as low as possible. I pretty much plan to do mostly under car stuff or obvious engine or transmission repairs. I don't really want to R&R engines and transmissions anymore, I'm getting lazy in my old age.

I do have a Matco scanner but it's only good to 2006. I can shut off check engine lights using global obdII.

I'm getting excited about Monday. I bought a all in one printer from Wallmart (hp4500) and the dam thing is stuck on Spanish. I'll tinker with it a little more today but I have a feeling it's going back.

I just took my Spanish speaking printer back to Wallmart and repalced it. Hopefully, this one speaks English.

New printer works just fine!! The place across the street is shutting down so I have been able to purchase a few things at very reasonable prices. He says he has a couple of credit card machines stuffed away somewhere but he has to find them. I'm pouncing on one when he does.

I'm not anywhere near you to need anything, plus I can do most anything on my own, I will however keep you in mind should I make it up that way and need a hand if something were to go wrong on a road trip.

I would also like to say I am sorry for what you have gone through recently (it can't be easy), and I wish you the best of luck on your endeavor.

Today was the grand opening. I was very well rested by the end of the day because I only had two people stop in. I will say that it was two more people than I really expected.

Starting from scratch is fun! At least I got a call from an old commercial account about working on something.

I'm sure business will pick up. It's always slow in the begining, best of luck, and thanks much for being a fellow believer in Michigan business.

I know it will be fine. I'm a good mechanic so it's just a matter of getting my name back out there. I'm going to work a part time job on the weekends just to give mamma some money every week.

I'll probably stop by sometime soon to shoot the shit, I need to get the fuel filter done on my duramax and I hate doing it . Is this where the big-block Honda is housed? I'd love to check that out sometime.
