Default 1909 30-06 Mauser Rifle SOLD

I have a 1909 30-06 mauser rifle for sale.Comes with Bushnell scope and gun case. On the gun it says:

Mauser Modelo
Argentino 1909
Deutsche Waffen-Und
Munitionsfabriken Berlin

Serila numbers all match. Asking $175 OBO.

Looks like a nice gun. It must have been rechambered, my was a 7.65. I wish I hadn't gotten rid of it.

It was quite common to re-chamber the military barrel to 30/06. Since ammo is/was hard to get and expensive. The big issue being the bore diameter for the 7.65x53 is .311 while the 30/06 is .308. Surprisingly I have seen a few re-chambered rifles shoot pretty good. Has this rifle been re- barreled our is it a re-chamber?

all I know is that it's a 30-06. It says 30-06 right on the gun

I would buy it but too far away, don't know when I would get back over there.

I have a re chamered 1909, its one of the best iron sighted rifles i have ever shot. i bought it to rebarrel it and it won me over. IMO, the 1909 was the best military mauser 98.
