I know of a sbc that has had the crank pulley welded on for years, bolt kept backing out and leting the pulley fall off so we welded it on. Its just a old farm truck so we figured there was nothing to loose. It has held up great.

it worth more in scrap crunch the pos and buy something else should get more than wat u paid and then some. little advice old ass foreign cars are junk hard to work on parts expensive and hard to come by

not true, I plan to drop in a 2.5 when this motor dies. It's a direct drop in from a 98 scoobie for about $400.00 and will give it an automatic 50hp gain. I'm a racecar driver!!!!

Umm, use a 90 degree die grinder with a stone and remove the weld. Itll take a little while and piss you off but then you can remove and fiss problem

Use a pulley puller. The welds will prolly break off the crank snout. Buy a new dampener!
