Default xj which SYE kit can i run with a cable speedo

i dont really want to have to change out my cable drive speedo. i just spent $ for the new cable and speedo gear to make it read correct. i am looking ar doing a bigger lift and sye kit over winter and i see alot of them want the electric speedo conversion. are there any that i can keep my cable and if so which is the best one? thanks for any help

ive got a 88 cable drivin xj i got a rugged ridge one off ebay and im running my normal speedo gear and cable with no issue

really? i dont think cable/ electric would matter- they both use the gear

all the mega short kits say electronic speedo only. i didnt understand that eather cause both do use a gear one is just shorter than other.

you need a mega short in a cherokee? It looks like the jb conversions super short sye uses a gm speed sensor, which reads off of a tone wheel instead of the gear

plan was to go with alot of lift about 12" or so so i can run 37 on it. figured the shorter the beter for driveshaft angle since i do enjoy driving it to work now and then

im running 11 inches or so with 38s on a normal sye no issues

None of the mega shorts usa a gear, they all use a tone ting and work for electronic speedo only.

The regular SYE's use a gear and will work with electronic or mechanical speedos.
