Sorry I take offense to any reference to previous owners of this truck and did nothing put hack the shit out of something that at one point in its life was a really nice truck. I obtained s10 in a hella beat down the state I need a new winter project for work during slow times to keep myself busy and my boss at dealership was cool with.

So i traded my last winter project which was a 92 Prelude si that I had 4-5 grand into with motor build and body work I did. Kid I got from was asking like 2000 for it had 48k miles 4.3 auto spray bombed gi joe green like all over everything air ride was destroyed and not maintained hacked together. I rolled dice traded Prelude I knew was a good car drove for months back forth to work home and flatbed car to him and tow guy dragged sorry as s10 back to shop good old Corrigans hooked me up and didn't hurt it anymore dragging it on flatbed.

So next thing ya know I got some kid Bill Muarry email me about man that my old truck and it use to be bad ass I already by this point knew whole life story of truck from friends of friends who actually did work on truck not bill. Then kid I got it from would talk shit to me on different forums about truck I was like what the hell is this truck a Vortex of douche baggery or what.


So my point only thing left from Bill m Jason or whoever is the cab and the cali sliding top, I have put alot of work time money fights with wife and what not over years to bring this mother back to respect. I have put it for sale a few times but I prob could never sell it. I have to many memories as well from my 3 yr old little girl hitting switchs in driveway after I rebuilt air ride and hated to the time it was a street racer and blew the doors of a viper . I am a legit guy I live and breathe automotive and have no association with former owners Bill has banned forum wide on inter web.

Just wanted to rant that out I am so sick of previous owners still trying to whore a little inter net glory from this truck bill post was from 2010 on here WTF are u whoreing my truck and my pics.

Well got my lazy ass out in the garage did some work today been feeling like shit for last few days after getting two root canals. I got shocks all final welded in fronts boxed and braced in I used the ford f250 mounts worked awesome for cheap. I got all wiring hooked back up under hood and hoses tightened .

I still am looking for advice on what fluid to use to in my 700r4 should I use the dex 6 syn or just a trad dex/mercron . I rebuilt transmission with the monster in a box kit with alto clutch and steels and every upgrade part out there. When I tore trans down because of my 3-4 wot downshift it would slip flare at 3800 rpms on wot and hit rev limiter. I found a broken 3-4 acc spring is the common? I bought transmission brand new from tci streetfighter 2wd during rebuild i switched it to 4wd with a new outputshaft.

Just kinda nervous cause I have rebuilt a few slush boxes and they all worked just not enough to call myself a master at it. I work at a Honda dealer and with the atx we just throw re mans in in so rebuilding never comes about. But I hope to have all buttoned up in next few weeks figure out my front driveshaft and drive this thing.

from my experience with 700r4's I use traditional fluids as its in older trans design and dont know if the switch will do and good/bad. I havent had any problem with a built 700 with traditional fluid.

That being said I have also now switched to lucas fluids in almost everything, and I believe that it has saved me a few times when thing where breaking/ wearing out, to the point that the reapirs where simple and cheap and usually we cant figure out how things didnt get worse,

I dont know if the last part makes sense to you but I dont know how to put it

Went back to work quit being a bitch I drooped and bought new drive shaft for front thru dss. Had to re clock axle finish welded everything and built a new exhaust. Most of my motivation came from some d bag who called today at 7 am and didn't like that i told him it was stupid to call a fs add at 7am

Well after many delays setbacks and pure lazyness its all done minus a couple tweeks here and there. My fully rebuilt built transmission shifts perfect drives pretty straight for a tape measure and eye ball alignment .

I ended up sourcing a front driveshaft from a 88 burban btw it took me forever to find one without paying like 250 plus ship online. So no poser status here its a true 4x4 not rolling around all limp dick.

I still plan on throwing a set of dana 44s I just obtained once tax money comes in so I can thrown some lockers and new u joints and what not and still drive truck and baby it on the toy axles.

I'll throw up some pics of finished project and thanks to all for advice and answering my stupid new guy questions

So did a few upgrades cause I am a picky fucker. I upgraded to a rebuilt Astro van steering box to get the pitman arm out front. Fabbed up a new drag link bar with new heims and flipped the tie bar from under knuckles to over with same heims I used for drag link. Steers like butter now and no bump steer Big A+ to Unlimited Offroad for parts at good pricing and some advice. The downside fractured a rib when heim decided to get stuck in insert pipe wrench broke loose into my rib. So I have been being a pussy

what year steering box, I need to do this but I dont want to just get any astro box if there is a specific one to get. I cant find that there isnt one to use bedsides the AWD box....I think I am right that all the 2wd ones work.

No my truck in that setup would never run a 200 mph speed , I am talking from a straight dig in a quarter mile street race , roll racing for people who can't hook and just make other bs excuses for wanting to go from a roll. I have previous owned and built a 95 3000gt vr4 tt , 91 toyota supra 1jz swap single turbo, 1993 talon tsi gt45r turbo pushing 28psi on a 2.3 4cyl I know cars .

Heres a hint a 93 notch foxbody with a 8.50 cert cage for a reason please troll somewhere other then threads sorry I am just a mullet head not worthy of your Viper status

What about when people dump money into their Vipper? What happens then? It's not hard to get 1,400 streetable DD HP out of a Vipper...and BTW I like the sound of the new project
