Default dodge straus oil leak... help!!

my brother has a 99 stratus 2.4 dohc . and he swears its leaking oil from the oil filter adapter arm ( theres a small crack in it). he tells me its part of the engine and the adapter arm doesnt unbolt. is there a simple cheap fix ???

actually that arm does come off. ITs part of the oil pump. the chrysler part number is 4694304. They around 700 new. your best bet is to see if you can get one aftermarket for cheap. or even a junk yard. You will have to pull the motor away from the tranny to change this out.

advanced auto sells em for 236. are they hard to replace??? once i pull the motor away from the traqnny is it all straight forward???

=yup, not bad to do at all. the hardest thing is pulling the motor up.
