Default 52" spring swap?????

Has any one do a 52" spring swap on a chevy? How bad is the swap and how is the ride? and what benefit is there to just buy a lift kit?

here is a link to the swap parts. they also have a kit for the 81 and newer trucks. the 52s flex a lot better and ride better as well because you dont need as much arch in the spring to get the desired lift height.

If you want to go the cheap way, you can also cut out rivets that hold your front body mount in place and swap them side to side. This will give you the extra couple of inches for the front mount. Then just move rear mount back as well.

I probably have a pair of main leaves and enough other leaves to make up a bastard pack. PM me if you want to try.

Came out of my '76 K5 rear.
