Got some work done on the truck this yesterday, installed new balljoints, draglink, tierod, unit bearings and the slotted and drilled rotors. I also dropped off my 20's at Belle Tire and they mounted the new 305/55/R20 GoodYear DuraTrac's. I pick them up Monday and will have an alignment done.

For those looking to replace their unit bearings go to your local autozone and buy these; http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par.../N-jhdglZ6o2ny

They are Timkin's with a 3 year warrenty for only $166 each.

And if need to rebuild your front end, this is what I went with. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/XRF-U...item4cf625d463

This weeks activities will involve installing the 08 Mirrors and maybe the upfitter dash parts. Ill post pics later on.

As promised pictures, nothing shocking or surprising.

Cleaned up 20's with old tires

Hover truck

Piece of shit 2 year old unit bearing that lost a wheel stud that then took out the ABS sensor.

All new steering parts

As for suspension and drivetrain upgrades to complete I still need to install new shocks all around, replace the rear hub seals as they are leaking, service the diffs with new synthetic fluid, front inner seal's, aluminum rear cover.

Im also thinking about installating a upgraded valve body and bigger trans pan when I get the fluid flushed and im debating on installing a lunchbox locker upfront.

You're such a nagger! I will say im extremely happy I replaced everything all at the same time as it ensures no weaknesses as everything that was replaced needed to be.

Last night I got bored and decided to install the 08-11 tow mirrors. Its a pretty straight forward install, they bolt right on after you chop off a plastic nub on the drivers side. The wiring is a mild pain in the ass, trying to track down what wire is the turn signal wire is messing me up currently. I haven't hooked up the heated mirror option yet, once I install the upfitter dash pieces ill wire in the heated mirrors.

If you tow, get these mirrors! Your field of view increases double of the original tow mirrors that I had. Plus they look that much better IMO. Tonight I have to finish installing the passenger side.

Looks good. I swapped the stock mirrors for the tow mirrors on my 09 F150 (the mirrors are basically the same thing), and love the difference. The panoramics at the bottom are great. zero blind spots, and you can look down and see your rear tires in the mirrors.

Anytime you need stuff like that, TASCA Ford sells stuff online cheap. I got my tow mirrors and trailer brake controller through them.

You can wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which fills up first.

I finished up the mirror install last night. Both mirrors are operational with the marker lights hooked up. Ill wire in the heated mirrors when I wire up the upfitter dash. The turn signals are a different story. I still cannot find the under dash wires so I might either hook them into the marker lights or run them to the headlight turn signals.

Who said anything about wishing? I said I was waiting. Silly skooter. shitting in your hand is for odd cultures over seas.

What is this upfitter dash you speak of?

Not that I will every try to make my 11 year old truck into a 2008, but are you trying to shove a 2008 dash in there?

Speaking of, the 2008+ trucks make ours looke like they came out of the 70's on the interior side of things.

The upfitter dash is a new lower dash assembly, its been available on Superdutys since 05. It replaces the cup holders and cubbyhole area with a new panel and an electrical switch panel, which allows for easy wiring for lights or other electrical components. On 99-04 trucks slight modification to the dash and wiring are required, 05 and up trucks its a straight bolt in.

Here's what it looks like in our style of truck

Yes I realize our interiors match those of work trucks, im doing research on the possibility of swapping in a newer 05-07 dash.
