Default 2007 Ram 1500 MegaCab 4x4

Hey Everyone,
I'm looking at getting a 2007 Mega Cab 1500 4x4. It has the 5.7 hemi and the dealer claims it has the Multi-Displacement System (MDS). I can't find it mentioned in any of the paperwork on the truck. When I asked he informed me "all hemi's have the displacement system". Is he telling the truth or feeding me a line of BS trying to sell this truck? Also does anyone have one of these, an if so what do you think of it? So far the only thing I don't like about it is the 20" rims that were put on it. Too ghetto for me. But, I can put stock rims back on it with real tires.
Thanks
Patrick

no 3/4 ton's had the mds with the hemi.....i am pretty sure the megacab is basically a 3/4 ton even though it has 1500 badges, i doubt it has the mds, which really doesn't work well on the 1/2 ton trucks in that era anyways

It became a worthless trip. I was getting ready to talk to the credit union when they ran its vin number. Found out it was being advertised as a 4x4, but its only 2 wheel drive. When I called the dealership they blamed it on some bad paperwork. I don't want to deal with a dealership that can't tell a 4 wheel drive from a two.

X2, the 1500 mega cabs had the same axles as the 2500's if I recall correctly. The suspension may be a little softer but not much.

Hey Everyone,
Ended up getting a 2008 1500 orange quad cab 4x4. Decided not to go with a MegaCab because of having limited parking options at work. U of M parking structures are not exactly room for trucks. The truck does have the 5.7 hemi with the MDS. The only thing that I really don't like is the rims. I'm thinking about switching the 20" rims to something smaller so that it will have more tire and less rim. Plus I just discovered that the jack and tire tools are all missing.
All in All I think its going to fit my needs.
Thanks for the info and opinions.
