Works great! Hobart Handler 210 MVP. Very easy to use and it's nice to be able to switch from 110v to 220v in a matter of seconds.

I think I'm going with option 3, which is TBD.

Here's what I came up with for Option 3. Now it's not even close to being done, but you get the idea. The shackle is very easy to take off and on.

I would be concerned about catching that on a lip. There is no where for it to go down or back.

The idea is when there is no shackle attached, I retain the low profile bumper I intended to build. If I did leave a shackle attached, I don't see it being much different then a traditional roller fair-lead getting caught on a lip.

Normally you wouldn't see a fairlead hanging down a couple inches below the bumper. It would be flush or higher. Just my thoughts :)

I dig the bumper! Love the d ring mounts too. But agree with john on them getting caught. The low profile look is awesome.

The idea behind it would be to not leave them in there while wheeling, but to put them on when I need to use them.

Like the recovery mount, not too many places in MI to get hung up on it. Just be aware of ist placement and a line you choose. Guess it goes back to knowing your rig.Basic..
Cant wait to destroy my front end so I too can redesign. lol

Christmas update! Finished up the bumper, just needs paint.

I ended up going with option 4.

Looks good. So it's just a slight modification of option 3 if I am looking at it correctly, right?

Yes, I just slid it over so I could weld to 3 planes instead of 2. Ties it into the unibody better.

Slapped a coat of satin black on it, and stuck it back on to get a final look.
