You had the red wrangler? Lived just north east of Grand Rapids?

I came up from K-zoo in a red xj...winter time, cold.

I still think it probably would have served me better than the heap I bought. I paid slighlty less for one with 1/2 the miles her's had, with extra's (hard top, full doors, 2 soft tops, bikini, etc, plus two sets of wheels/tires, but it also more than likely had 3x the deferred maintenance, and other issues)

*shrug* live and learn...

Some lady bought that jeep and maybe a year or so ago I think Kristen was still seeing it cruise town (maybe 2 years ago) ? shrug ?

That was a pretty good little jeep, high miles, but always ran very well, and the only thing we ever replaced was the alternator I think. She ended up getting what she paid for it too, which turned out to be a good deal for us. I hope it served the next owner well. What kinda jeep are you driving now?

I had a '92 YJ, that I sold a few months ago. The maintenance, + gas prices for my 36 mile, one way commute were too high, and I couldn't afford to really do any wheeling on it if/when I broke something.

so, that being said, I got something unpossible to wheel. found an '01 Miata LS for under 12k (book value when I bought it 18 months ago was just shy of 17k)

fun commuter car, but now that the jeep is sold, I'll probably be looking for something a little newer, and a little better maintained for when I need to cart the kids around. Last weeks trans failure on the wife's venture may put the damper on picking up a 3rd vehicle for a while though :|

I was toying with the idea of picking up a mild TJ, selling the miata, and buying a bike in the spring for commuting duties when the gas prices hike back up again. (it seems like we will be doomed forever with high spring-summer gas prices for various reasons)

I am hoping to get up there for the UP 200 this year, but not sure. Otherwise I am thinking maybe next spring/early summer also, we'll see, but of course I will come and drink your beer.

Are you still out in Skandia?

Thanks Kodiak, I had fun in that jeep, I actually still see it occasionally, looks like the guy who bought it works at the jeep dealership at Dixie Highway and 75 in Clarkston. DD whats up man?

Currently I am jeepless, bought a few XJ's after I graduated and moved back downstate, then an H3 6 months ago, which is supposed to be sold sometime this week, probably pick up a cheaper WJ. With a kid and 2 long commuters in the house a wrangler isn't gonna work right now Anyway nice to see a lot of you guys are still around
