Tranny leak after the dunes. Tranny is completely torn down on the bench right now. It's going to be a few busy nights getting it back together before the Metro Cruise this weekend. 2nd gear clutches were bare steel. I guess it didn't like the added power.

I'm exceptionally pleased with the end results. I still need to get a bigger carb and tie up a few more loose ends, but all I can say is WOW! It's is an amazing feeling to have such an obscene amount of power on tap. Hill climbing or racing; this thing is going to be a serious contender by the time I'm done with it.
What kind of power are you thinking it makes?

With the baby carb on there it's probably right around 500-550 at the rear wheels. It should be right around 600 at the back when I upgrade this winter so maybe 650- 700ish at the flywheel? I figure that's a pretty conservative number.

I will definitely post up dyno sheets when I finally get them.

Sounds nice! Having HP at the dunes definitely makes for a lot of fun!

You can say that again! Dyno numbers probably won't be until next spring since I really need to spend the next few months getting it dialed in and I won't have the dough for a new carb until tax time.

I wouldn't worry too much about the dyno anyway. Numbers are fun, but people get too concerned with them. Get it dialed in and have fun!
Dad went to an SV1 this year, he may want to sell the Pro Systems 4500 he was using.

Maybe we'll buy at the same time and try to get a discount.

Tim, are you going 4500 or 4150 flange?

I know a guy that has a 1050, but 4150 flange, might be looking at selling.

OK- Tranny is back together. Tomorrow night I'll get the shift kit installed and drop some fresh fluid in her.

I'm toying with the idea of dragging it down for test n tune at Martin this weekend. Not sure how fast I want to run those 35's on pavement though....

I think the paddles will smooth right out after 50 MPH or so...

I think you should do it! Myself and a few others have ran on the asphalt. It usually gets some funny looks though
