Nope. Still touching-up the heads. With any luck they will be bolted to the block at some point this Saturday. I'm really hoping to get it dropped in the hole for break-in mid next week.

After all the screwing around, I ended up having to jump up the valve sizes. Now int is 2.19 and ex is 1.80. This thing should really rock n roll, but I'm running out of time quickly. I have some new port work to do now that we opened things up again. New fire up date should be this coming Saturday.

It's been a couple really long weeks with some pretty late nights. Here's where things were sitting when I left the shop at midnight.

Looks like its ready to rock! I see a fram filter on there, I dont know much about BBF engines, but I have heard of horror stories about fram filters starving engines for oil at higher RPM. Just my .02 buy a high end performace filter.

I've heard horror story's about the cardboard ring in the bottom being sucked up and letting all the junk though.

The "Orange Can of Death" is only on there for the break-in today. Since it's just there to catch any stray shavings for a 20 minute 2500 RPM warm-up and then get tossed, I figured it would work just fine.
Yup- plenty of room under there. I have at least a half inch to go yet

The heads are max effort ported D0ve's with 2.19 int and 1.80 ext valves.

After a little header modification later this morning, we should be firing it up later this afternoon.

I'll post up a vid as soon as we have the 2nd set of valve springs installed tomorrow night or Friday....

It's Alive!!!!! Here's a few snaps of the throttle while breaking in the cam. It was run between 2000 and 3000 RPMs. Open headers, and without the center valve springs. This thing is going to be NASTY once we have the loose ends tied up over the next week.
