Default Had a bit of a rough day...

I was headed to lunch with my brother (91 K 1500) yesterday in his truck and some jackass decided to come bombing over the center divide at telegraph and Dixie hwy. And nailed us head on, we were going about 45 and I guess they were doing about the same.
What my brothers truck looked like.

After remodel.

No drivers vehicle.

I'm currently posting this from my hospital bed, I have 2 broken ribs, fractured sternum, dislocated shoulder, bruised elbow, Fluid on the heart, And a lung catusion, my brother was unharmed the two people in the grand prix were in the ICU last I knew one with a collapsed lung and the other has two broken hips and closed head injury, they tell me I'm ok and I get to go home tomorrow morning.

Supposedly the column locked up in his car for some reason, but I specifically recall my brother trying to go around him on the left but they swerved right back into us at the last moment.

That's alot of damage to the pickup, not so much to the grand prix. I would be pissed as hell to watch my insurance company throw my prized possession in the scrap pile. They won't fix the lowered truck, hopefully your brother had full coverage. Enjoy your stay at the hospital, with all your broken parts, you can get at least one sponge bath a day. Breaking your sternum in a horrible experience. Did they wire it back in place, or are they going to let it heal naturally? Recover soon.

Sorry about the truck, but glad you two are still around to recover.

On the bright side only 2 GMs were wrecked.

Thank you all for the concern and the well wishes, to clear a few things up: There were two people in the grand prix the driver has 2 broken hips or a shattered pelvis or something like that, they're letting me heal naturally so far but they haven't released me yet so that could change, as far as the truck is concerned my brother has owned it since he was 17, he's 28 now and it only had 70k on it, I am also fairly certain he had a special interest rider on his policy because of all the work done to it, so hopefully he comes out pretty fair.

Bummer man.

Could have been worse. You could have been in the mayhem at Plymouth and Middlebelt, lots of cars, lots of problems.
