Default Time for a new wallet

I have carried a wallet since I was 15 years old, I am now 32 and on my 2nd wallet. I need to get a new one and want something that will last a long time.
Anyone have any recommendations on a high quality black leather wallet?

I have a Filson wallet that I got through Orvis about 10 years ago and it's held up exceptionally well over the years. I have a few other Filson products that have also held up just as well. They are probably one of the best brands I've come across in terms of quality.

My $10 "genuine black leather" wallet from Target is some 12 years old, and is just starting to show wear on the exterior. The "card slots" have one slight tear from the ATM card use.

*shrug* If for some reason I have to buy 5 more in my life time I still have spent less than some of the finer/brand-name ones out there.

I can definitely appreciate finer and/or higher quality goods, but for me personally there are times where I have to do a "reality" check of where/when/why paying for a higher quality item makes sense.

I have some very expensive wallets and purses and some dirt cheap. I have to say, you can buy very nice inexpensive wallets that will last a looong time.

I'm on my second Dockers black leather trifold. I got 15 years out of the first one, so I found a place that sells them, and bought 4. I figure I'll never have to buy another wallet again.

I've got a Coach wallet. I've had it for a couple years and it still looks brand new. I'll buy another if this one ever wears out.

I still have my wallet I got at 16. I had it repaired last year so I could continue to use it, then I switched jobs. My old wallet was in good shape, but I felt weird pulling a leather flamed wallet out in front of customers

Hell, I won my first leather wallet from a game at a county fair when I was 8. It was retired earlier this year, and only because my ex had bought a new one for me and I wasn't going to tell her I didn't want it.

I can only imagine how cheap that thing was. It lasted 16 years, and could come out of retirement again if this one gets torn up.

i had a bi fold black leather no name brand el cheapo wallet for the last 10 years or so.
it was getting worn and my wife was nice enough to buy me a new one.
except she got me a trifold wallet. its not as thin as a bi fold, and i dont like it.

I have the same one except bi-fold, I'm on my second one in 13 years, it has been attacked by the dog twice, and other than a few teeth marks, it is in good shape.
