Police seek couple suspected in hit and run**caught

http://record-eagle.com/local/x14520...-and-run/print

WEXFORD COUNTY — Police in northern Michigan are asking for help locating a man and woman suspected of hitting a man driving a four-wheeler near Mesick on Saturday night and then fleeing the scene in a pickup.

Brian David Lloyd, 34, of Dexter, underwent surgery at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City for serious injuries sustained after he was struck by a light blue, early 1990s single cab Ford pickup truck about 7 p.m. on N 3 1/2 Road near W 10 Road in Mesick.

Lloyd was operating a four-wheel off-road vehicle when police said the truck struck him. It was driven by a white male, mid-30s with a medium build and short buzz-cut hair. His female passenger is described as having blond hair.

The truck likely has visible damage to the front driver’s side grille and headlight sustained during the hit and run.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Wexford County Sheriff’s Office at 231-779-9211, or Silent Observer at 231-779-9215.

They shouldn't have ran. Under the law, the ORV on the roadway is prima-facia at fault. Look it up.

Even in an "ORV open" county (like Wexford)?

Orvs are evil that's why they have to be "negligent " no matter what.

It doesn't matter. How could someone leave people they hit? I suspect the driver was drunk or on drugs. It reminds me of the time I went to Canada w/o telling my parents. Someone pulled out in front of me and I got front end damage. I parked my escort front end in the bushes thinking I'd hide it. My Daddy is no fool. I was so busted!
