Default Help from someone in Toledo

I'm helping my friend with his Saturn and he managed to break two of the U shaped retaining clips that bolt on to the head that hold the cams down.
A-1 auto salvage on Detroit avenue says they have 3 of these motors in stock but said we have to pull the part ourself.

We are willing to pay $50 for your time and pay to ship the parts to Petoskey. Is anyone able to give me a hand with this?

Thanks in advance.

He broke the cam caps?
You cannot just replace those caps, they are matched to the head thru the machining process.
Replacing those with mismatched caps will result in a locked up camshaft.
Time for a replacement head!

Pics to verify.

I told him that. The dealer told him that. His mechanic told him that. But he is a "chemical engineer" and knows everything. I'm just relaying the message.

It's northern for "a 53 year old guy who lives in his moms basement and can't afford a pizza, let alone a new cylinder head"

Damn. What in your life has to go wrong to the point where you are living with your mom at 53?
