Just when you wanna go home and sleep

after 10-12 hour long work days driving 45 mins to work and home most of us would run inside and crash in their comfy bed for a few hours..... Not the case for my best friend

Not fun. At least no one was home. Things can be replaced, people can not.

It sucks but those things are easy to replace. Your best friend isnt. I hope the insur gets him back on his feet quickly. Glad your friend is still around.

yea definately, hes talking to the insurance today and everyone i have talked to says they run about a week to make any type of decision, i figured itd be quick but i guess a house its a little different from a car accident lol. they still have no clue as to the cause of the fire or anything that started it. but upwards of 350-400k worth of damage

That sucks, but losing family photos, and memories, and souvenirs from past trips would be worse to me.

The last time I checked, my insurance company only covers firearms up to $2000.

Luckily I have most in a fire safe, but its still unnerving knowing you can loose it all, and not even make a dent in replacement costs from a payout.

Not to high jack this thread (sorry) but I'm guessing there's some firefighters here. Do the fire safe boxes really hold up?

X2

My dads garage burned down a few years back. They didn't cover anything that required a rider. Our motorcycles, dirtbikes, and some of the car parts he had( tunnel ram, 2.3 ford turbo setup, etc) but he was a pack rat so a lot if the stuff he didn't need replaced was covered and made up for it.
