This is 1959 generator manufactured by Onan for the French Army. It is powered by a 4cyl flat head Willys engine. The hour meter only shows 30 hours running time. It looks to be in excellent shape, the engine turns over but I never heard it run. Asking $800
My father in law removed it from a basement of a house he was remodeling. The previous owner had installed it in the basement in the late 60s when he built the house for power back up in case of a big atomic attack. It was disassembled into separate major pieces to be removed from the basement. The covers, control panel, engine were unbolted to be taken out. It could be easily resembled and used as a generator or if someone needed a good engine could use it a scrap the rest. I imagine it weighs close the 1500-1800 pounds.
I have couple crappy pictures of the control panel and will work on better pictures and see if I can get more information off the data plates later today.
