I am one of the minorities who would like to see more 1/2 ton diesels. Of course, I would never buy a new one so I don't count regardless. I think we could probably have a 4.5 d-max (or dodge or ford) bumped up to nearly what the big ones put out stock getting mid 20's for mileage?

Troof.

I've seen 21 mpg - at 60-65mph, not towing, no A/C with MDS assisting. But 17 is the norm overall.

Other than dumping money into stronger after market parts for the front end and an injection pump at 160k miles, my 2004 3500 has been great. I want to upgrade to a new dually, but can't convince myself to trade this truck in.

That's a good thing, I can't be the only one that prefers cloth to leather.
Also it's not chrome enough.

I wasn't implying leather was preferred but that $40k seems like a high price for that truck considering it doesn't have a fancy interior.

I wanted a no chrome F250 and seem to come up empty unless I go with a black on black XL and then option it up.....
Is there a way to get the 250 in an "FX like" package??

I remember a couple years stopping and looking at a half ton ex cab z71 and everyone on the lot was 36k+.
That was the previous gen too. So 40k for a new quad cab truck isn't surprising.

The 2009 3/4 ton diesel i drive daily rides so rough going down the highway it literally makes your teeth chatter.

Cloth sucks ass. My dd has leather seats, 10 years old and stain free. The cheap gray cloth in my work truck is a dirt magnet and is hard to clean. Leave your window down and get rain on your seat? Enjoy a wet ass for 2 days.

GMC Sierra 2500HD W/T package was the closest I could ever find.

Pretty much thinking that a Ford is my next truck.

Current thought is an optioned up XL 6.2L Auto.
No Power seats available is a real issue (wife is 5' 0")
