We have sold well over 200 of these trucks with eco-boost engines (at my dealership alone). I have not heard a negative complaint. It’s by far the best engines selection for the 150. It is a new power plant to the trucks but the 3.5 has been out since 06 (non eco-boost) and the eco-boost has been out for 2-3 years already in the SHO. Granted they are all slightly different internally. It is the same platform. The technology and the main foundation for this motor are not new this year. The ecoboost will get better mileage than the 5.0 its not going to be a shit ton however the power difference is! I would trade my 7.3 diesel for an ecoboost in a heart beat.

CC get off your wallet already and come see me before the 2011's are all gone.

Thats pretty impressive for just a down pipe and tuner on a gasser. 90 @ the wheels is 110-120? at the motor, so almost a 28-33% power increase for like $500-600, that ain't bad.

Yes, the lease on trucks are probably the best bang for the buck so to speak. We have alot of discounts for the end of the model year. And alot of package discounts also. For instance if you get a XLT with the chrome package, trailer tow pkg and the XLT convience pkg there is a $1500 discount above all other incentives. Which makes them less money to lease than a truck with out the added options. So you get alot more truck for less money. Let me know if you want specifics I would be happy to run numbers for you. PM is probably best as I dont check the site all the time.
Thanks,
Dana

bringing up an older thread. Was at my cousins house today and he has a 2011 FX4 crew cab ecoboost. Loves the truck, it has 21k miles on it, not an issue. He has been averaging 14.8mpg the last few tanks 70% highway. I like his truck but cant get over the fuel economy.

At 15mpg average, what's the point of 'ecoboost'?

still love mine have 38000 on it now... is he calculating his mileage by hand of trusting the computer one?

i drive 60 miles round trip to work daily and i am averaging 16-17 mpg all two lane stop and go driving.

2011 super crew fx4 with 373 gears.... i know my brothers 2012 super crew with 3.42 gears does 1-2 mpg better than me... only thing we can think is the gear ratio difference... that and he has 17" wheels and tires where mine has the factory 20" wheels and tires.....

He has a 11 super crew FX4 with 373s and factory 18s hand calculated 14.8mpg the dash computer says 15.7mpg. He is running premium also. 75mph highway driving 75% and light 25% city driving.

That's what I get with my Hemi, a heavy right foot and 99% rush hour stop and go traffic. Not worth it

I have a heavy right foot, heavy tires (305/50/20 terra grapplers) and I'm averaging 14.1 according to the dash computer with mostly city driving...4x4 crew cab with factory 4.10 gears. Highway driving, (75-80 average) I usually end up seeing around 16.8 mpg's...never cared enough to hand calculate the mileage. If I keep the speeds in the high 60's, mileage jumps up in to the 18's, the gears and tires aren't helping...but it's still better an my 2010 5.4 ever got, and it has a ton more power.

fuel mileage is nothing special but the power is special. They run great.

f150's are the heaviest 1/2 ton's also which doesn't help, and still have a truck ride height

takes gas to make hp, they have more power and torque than these old trucks you guys are comparing too, specially once tweaked after the fact

I'm guessing you aren't good at math, since you claim to be getting 3-4 mpg over what they are rated for, and you have over sized tires. I have noticed most Chevy people claim their vehicles get 3-10 mpg over what they are rated for, so either they are full of shit, or don't know how to do math.
