Default Droid X vs Htc incredible 2

Looking to switch wireless providers. I am looking towards Verizon to fill my Sprint void's and I found a deal both of these phones. I currently have an LG Optimus, its small and lately it hasn't worked to my expectations. What phone will net me the most available usable service for phone calls/texts and web? I have had motorola phones in the past and they have always seemed to have the best performance in comparison with other manufacturers on the same network. So I'm currently leaning towards the Motorola Droid X.
Thoughts and comments?

battery life?
screen size and resolution and touch screen function reviews?
multi-tasking?

Watch switching, I don't know crap about data usage, but I read a few weeks ago that Sprint was the only provider that still has unlimited data plans.... I've very strongly considered moving also.

Verizon did just get rid of unlimited data at the normal low rate. I believe it is still out there but you have to pay an arm and a leg to get it. As far as phones go, is it the Droid X or the Droid X2? The X is older technology but still a great phone. I have one currently but will be switching as soon as the Bionic comes out since I'm ready for an upgrade. The Incredible 2 is a newer phone by about a year then the X and about the same timeframe as the the X2. It really is all about personal preference when it comes to the phones.

Here are a couple of reviews to read.

Droid X
Droid X2
Incredible 2

Verizon has a data calculator that we can utilize because we don't need unlimited web. One advantage that I have noticed is that Verizon has more plans available for lower minutes and unlimited texting and picture mail vs Sprint which only offers the unlimited everything plan including 1400 minutes that we don't even come close to because we can't make outgoing calls and we have not been getting incoming calls.
When talking to Sprint about downgrading the number of talk minutes to make our plan cheaper they explained that actually downgrading the number of minutes would increase our bill which is ridiculous. As far as Verizon being way more expensive I'm starting to become a big believer in you get what you pay for.
So far from our research Verizon seems to have a wider variety of plans that we can customize to make it more affordable and comparable to what we pay now.

My wife has the Incredible 2. It's a sweet phone, fast, decent battery life, excellent screen, good camera. Both of my parents and one of my best friends with Droid X's all said they would rather have the Incredible 2. For a few extra bucks I would get the T-Bolt though.

The Thunderbolt has been getting alot of bad reviews for poor battery life lately. Not sure if there has been a fix for it yet or not since I'm not really interested in it. Something to look at before going that route.

Well I just confirmed my order of the Motorola Droid X. When it gets here in the mail should I wait to activate it and go into a store to make sure my plan is the one I really did order? I have never purchased a phone online from someone other than the providers web site. I ordered from wirefly.com

tw1st3ed is right, some of the places are it is still available, but for quite a bit more money. Here is some reading for you.

All but Sprint

AT&T specific
Quote:
AT&T Inc. and T-Mobile USA, the second- and fourth-largest U.S. carriers, respectively, have already set limits on monthly data usage. AT&T uses tiered data plans like the one Verizon is rolling out, while T-Mobile slows data speeds for unlimited data plan customers who use up their monthly allotment. Sprint Nextel Corp., the country's third-largest carrier, still offers an unlimited plan.

Everything I have read regarding the T-Bolt says that if you're heavy on the data, especially in 4G then yeah your battery won't last long. You can disable the 4G operation though and during normal use the battery is supposed to be much much better. Greasyhands, did you end up getting the phone for free? I know when we upgraded my wife's phone we got it for less than half price (based on what Verizon wanted for it) through Ebates.com and they had Droid X's for free.

If I were you I would have waited a couple weeks for the Samsung Galaxy S II to be released. It is currently one of the fastest phones out (it has been released in every country except the U.S.). It has a 1.2 ghz dual core processor and 1 gb of ram. When compared to all the other new phones, it has spanked them.

Stop using it for porn and:

1. it will stay much cleaner;
2. the battery will last longer.

I want the Droid Bionic to hit Verizon already. My new every two is up in 3 weeks and my current droid is starting to act strange. The touchscreen is acting like it's being touched and scrolls through menus and selects things I do not want. I don't know how much longer I can deal with a phone that does this.

My wife has the Inc2 It is an awesome phone if you don't want 4g. It is also newer then the X and it is an HTC so both will make it more likely to get firmware updates over time.

I have the Thunderbolt. it is an awesome phone, but if I am in a 4g area and don't turn off the 4g I can smoke my battery in 4-5 hours playing on the web.

Running on 3g I usually get a full day out of it.

Everything I've read said the "Bionic" isn't going to be out for a little while now. I've also read that Bionic project is dead and will be called the Tegra instead....similar phones but the Tegra will be better than what the Bionic was originally reported to be.

I had i narrowed down to the same choices and went with the x2 (new version of x) because there is alot more accessory support with it being almost identical to the x that has been out for a while. Been happy with it so far.
