I can tell you first hand how it works if one of you gets sick. Im fortune it enough to have a very small house note and thank god i did when i had to take time off work. Disability dont cut it if you need a 40 hr check to cover the mortgage payment. Thankfully we can make it on the wifes income for now. I vote stay with what you got and pay it off. Then sell and put lots of money down on new place.
