Default Dodge towing question

Well I just bought a 2007 6.7L Dodge Diesel

I'm not sure how this thing works as far as what gear to run.

Pulling a 18' flatbed with a 6,000# rig on top of it.

Should I put it in 5th gear or leave it in 6th (6 speed auto)

Should just be able drop it into gear and go. I run with mine id OD on most of the time. Im guessing with that motor and trans combo and that little bit of weight you can run 6th and not have any issues.

I have run the newer ones in tow haul mode. I even tow with my H2 in that and it works great. sounds like your just getting around 10,500 behind you so it won't be bad

fairly flat land run 6th. heavy or hilly run 5th. the engine and trans are up to the task of towing that little weight in any gear.

With my 5.7 I normally run in 6th, drop to 5th on the long up grades.
I have also pulled with a diesel Ram, 6 speed, and never had to down shift.
I would think you would be fine with that rig.
