Default Labor Day CLUB CHALLENGE (edited) SEPT 1st 2012

Sun. Long Crawl and Lot Crawl Drivers meeting 10am. Event will start right after, 3 rigs run same time from Club or wheeling group. Push, pull, drag, strapped together or just go for it . $25 per rig , no park fee for comp drivers. As of now rules still apply as before. With the exceptions there will be more cones for the tough areas to discourage side steping the course. More info to come.

changed to Sunday if it works better for everyone
New note. I am tring to put a lunchin together for this for drivers and spotters, or whom ever if we can get enough goodies to eat. Will post if I can get it done.

So is a TJ with 5" lift, locked in the rear on 35's enough? Everyone has a different opinion on "pretty built".
Most of our club drives borderline DD's. I'm not talking about a budget boosted TJ on 31's.

TY

Our club last year had 2 rigs on 40s with 1 tons and the 3rd was on 38s/D44s. All locked ft and rear. There was a club that ran smaller rigs though, its all about driver capability

I would say you definitely should be locked front AND rear. Not required, but makes you more competitive. It's a fun event with a lot of camaraderie. You work together as a group on each run. You can winch/strap each other through if somebody needs a hand in your group.

I would suggest whomever the spotter is, to start conditioning themselves now...it's a lot of work trying to spot for 3 rigs

To give yourself an idea of what it's like, go up to R&V and run the Long Crawl and the Lot Crawl.

On a side note, Ron will more than likely move things around a little to make it more challenging the weekend of the event, but you'll get the basic idea if you run it now. Plus, the cones will make it even more challenging depending on placement.

Ron, we will put together a team or hopefully two from DMJC again this year. I'm waiting input from everyone on the day they prefer...
