I have been looking around for a multi pump air rifle. So many of the break barrels are such high velocity their is no way to slow them down, so you could plunk the neighbors dog in the ass, or pop the newspaper boy, with out some one getting offended.

I didn't even know of these "whispers". Now I need to have one! So many moving targets in the yard.

IMO, whispers arent any quieter than other subsonic air rifles. I think they tightened up the tolerances of the spring/piston assy so it operates smoother and gets rid of the twang.

If you go Gamo, I'd highly recommend the GRT-III trigger - I put one in our Hunter Elite and it went a long way make the gun a better shooter.

I still love my RWS 34 Diana - built like a brick shithouse - I think it weighs damn-near 10 lbs with just the sights. If you go that route, get the James Maccari spring kit for it - another gun-transforming mod.

you can afford all those square hipster glasses and a pile of clapped out old trucks but a CO2 tank is wayyyy beyond your budget. I have one thats about 2 foot tall and can be filled at any welding gas store for under 30 dollars.

I own a CO2 tank, and two mix tanks for MIG; 1000 psi CO2 vs. 3000 psi Scuba makes a huge difference in energy and how many times you refill the bitch. I've researched this more than Skooterbuilt has stalked Spro's girlfriend.

Add in CO2's tendancy to FUCKING SUCK in cold weather, and you have a system that is marginal at best.

1. Stop being a pussy.

2. There is nothing you can say that will make me stop thinking that thing is cool as fukc .

3. money is no object. I would buy a scuba tank and there is a dive shop in casper to fill it.

no doubt it's cool as fukc - just the logistics suck; if I buy a scuba tank and drop serioius coin on an air rifle, it won't be this one.

I guess that is serious coin for an air rifle. The last 3 real rifles I have bought have all been over a grand. Shits more costly these days, but this is america. If you dont have money you are a douchebag.

I have a couple RWS rifles and they shoot very well. A buddy has a Whisper and thinks it is loud but he says it is deadly on the squirrels in his garden. I am thinking about a Nitro piston air rifle probably a Beeman. Another buddy has one of the pre-charged pneumatic rifles and says it sounds like a 30-30 when he shoots it.

My gamo big cat (1250 fps with platinum) 1000fps with lead will take down a rabbit no problem don't know about anything bigger, scope that comes with it sucks but will work, not a bad gun for the price, sounds kinda like a .22 with platinum pellets
