Default unemployment gurus

i was having a conversation today with a new employee about unemployment and i cannt seem to find the answer.

how many hours does one need in a season to qualify for unemployment for a seasonal job?

does it go by hours or months worked. someone stated you needed to make 3500 in gross before you could quailfy for it.

any ideas?

It was my understanding that you need 4 months of full time employment.

http://www.michigan.gov/uia/0,1607,7...831---,00.html.
It goes by wages. Must have wages in 2 quarters, one must be at least $2871, all quarters of wages used must be equal to or above 1.5x the highest quarter.
There is a seasonal denial period for established seasonal employer's which means no benefits during the off season.

Now now cheif....

It isn't the OP who wants unemployment, he has a good job and works for his pay.

It is about some new kid that works with him that wants to work the minimum time possible and then get unenjoyment when his summer work ends.

I don't feel that way about you, I feel that way about the idea of it, specifically those that are intentionally seeking it out.

Does that mean teachers could get unemployment for the summer months?
