Default Comcast's Xfinity Upgrade

I knew as soon as I was told they upgraded our internet system to Xfinity, that they would now be able to monitor my activity.

I've been wanting to catch up on Breaking Bad, so I took the chance and tried to download the past seasons. Ofcourse, I'm contacted, saying to stop all "illegal" activity.

Just mentioning this for anyone else who may use P2P programs, that its likely they could be watching your activity now

Are you new to computers? You do realize they can monitor everything you do, no matter the 'finity' of the package, right?

Of course they could if they were trying to. But I never had a problem before they "upgraded" me, and there was nothing significant about this download vs the any of the ones in the past. What's really stupid is that I can watch what I downloaded for free from multiple sources, not just Cockcasts On-Demand So I have no idea why they really care.

This appears to be yet another perfect example of someone using the scientific process to interpret data, form a hypothesis, then present it as fact.

I just find it to be quite the coincidence that I was never contacted about illegal activity before this upgrade, and I happen to be contacted the first time I try to download something through a P2P program as soon as I was upgraded to Xfinity.

No more than a warning to others to pay attention to their e-mail if they use these programs and Comcast "upgrades" them.
