Default friends cat converter is rattling inside can he use flex pipe in place of the cat?

its a 94 k1500. can we just cut the cat off and clamp in some flex pipe as a temporary fix?

Yup. But why not clamp on a piece of pipe and not mess with it again till it rusts out?

I would just admit that if you want to repair it with flex pipe you are probably not gonna replace the cat, just straight pipe it with actual pipe like said above

hmmmmm... can you buy a straight pipe in a auto parts store? would it cost just as much as flex pipe?

Yes you should be able to buy a section of straight pipe. I would follow the recommendations above and not use the flex pipe.

Flex pipe has more of a Jethro feel to it. If the truck has a Confederate flag on it or a CB in it, I would go with flex pipe.
