Seems like the only way this park makes money is to have these drunken pot smoking free for alls. Plus allowing underage drinking and driving on top of that. The second dog party a lady died and before this third party one of the park owner's. Kids is being charged with a hit and run . Make one think was this party for the park or to build up funds for lawyer fees.

You sir are a fucking idiot!! Read all the facts! The lady died from a heart attack! I've been there a lot. They make money by having some of the best trails in michigan and not running it like a fucking prison. Know the facts before you talk your shit deuche bag.

It's called the dog party and I was one of the few people with my dog.lol. I was up there with Trail Twister and a few others. This was my first time there with my own rig, I wasn't very impressed. I think that is because of all the underage drinking and lack of organization at the mud pit. I saw a kid driving a cherokee with 8 people in it and no seatbelts and driving like an idiot. It took probably over an hour and who knows how many passes through the pit before someone finally came and told him to get people out. I think Rocks and Valleys is a better park for organization and safety. I'm not totally bashing on Twisted Trails, they did have some decent trails and hills, but I think this park just isn't really what I was expecting and what I look for

Well again go there on any normal weekend or during a comp and its completly different. All the young and old stupid people arent there. They only go for the party. But the other ~50 weekends a year its just like any other park. With normal people wheeling and having a good resposible time. Cant judge the whole group on the actions of a few. This isnt the only way they make money but if you knew that you could make ~$5000 in one day to let people do stupid things. You would, i would, we all would. They are business people. Its not about you, its the consumer! .02

Seriously??

The woman that passed away had underlying heart issues for a long time and was a dear friend of the park owners.....the fact that you are even insinuating that the dog party had ANYTHING to do with this is borderline slander. Get your facts straight jackass. Her death had ZERO to do with the park.

You get 1000 people in one place and try and control EVERYONE
You host a party and let people drink and drive, have more people than seats and seatbelts, seems smart....

http://www.youtube.com/embed/_clE_xAsMOMParty or no party, allowing alcohol into your property and with people driving vehicles with no rules, recipe for disaster at some point. I am all for a few beers, hell, I don't mind guys having a few on the trails even, but this is not that situation. It only takes one stupid redneck to ruin it for everyone.

we'll see if you feel the same way when the dnr, police, sherriff, etc close it down because of the underage drinking and wheeling, or when someone dies or innocently gets hurt.

insurance.Yeah, I am sure the insurance company will have a field day upon investigating an incident and seeing someone's BAC over the legal limit while operating a motor vehicle and killing someone.

IF that happens. And i will give them my business as well. Love the park and it's tough obstacles. See you there!
Like I said, I am all for the have a beer and go wheeling and have fun aspect of the dog party, but it's a bit out of control and someone is gonna get hurt.

This comment alone makes you a hypocrite. If you're "all for" having a beer and going wheeling, what makes you any different then any of those people being bashed? The difference? They aren't on the web pretending to be all high and mighty.

Have you personally even been to one of the Dog parties? For as many people as attend, it is VERY well handled. And I can't state loudly enough......this is a PARTY event, don't like it then don't come. Visit the park on a different weekend. They truely won't miss a couple peoples $10 over the $5 grand they pull in for a day.I think they should take names of the people on here bashing the park and when those hypocrites show up to wheel have them turn their shit around and leave......banned. just my opinion.

that makes me a hypocrite? No, it just means I have common sense, if you have 4 or 5 dudes, with jeeps in a backyard hanging out grabbing a beer, doing some wheeling chances of someone getting hurt are pretty slim.

You mix a "party" with a few hundred people, and beers, and wheeling, and a huge field and your odds of injury go way up. Espescially with a lot of the stupid that goes on.

I've been, does that make me cool now?

I'm not trying to be high and mighty about a god damned thing. If silverlake allowed boozin' would you still go?

I'm just wondering, but does dog parties 1 and 2 generate this much controversy?

I was out at the dog party, I had some fun, didnt drink any.. watched a bunch of people go thru the mud pit all diffrent directions at once.. I wouldnt say I see anything even remotely like a near miss as far as that is concerned. It went pretty smoothly for the amount of people out there I would say

Yep. It's seriously like . "dog Party" is just that .....a party. Any other weekend park is like any other offroad park. You'd think people would know that by now.

jeepbratt your reading comprehension, or whatever you are reading into on my statements is very poor.

I just find it hard to believe that a PARK, a BUSINESS would ALLOW illegal activity.

Where does that make me a hypocrit?
