Today I finished the last bent pieces up. I had planed on where they met up to the cage in the cab having them with a bend that met up with the cage, in order to do that though I would have had to cut completely through the windshield pillar of the cab. I cut through half of it leaving a lot of metal still for support for the winshield and roof. The way I made these it acts as a good grab place for getting in and out of it. I ordered ballistic fabs round tube ends for it to put in the end so it is nice and smooth and looks nice. I need to adjust the hood to fit a little better in between the rails and possibly trim it to fit perfectly. I have 4 more support pieces to add into the rear back half and 4 more supports for the rocker and cage to the frame. I plan on doing those tasks this week, and then finishing the drivers side rock slider and mounting the fuel cell in the rear. Later this week I will probably order my seats so I can get those mounted, I am thinking of fixed position summit racing buckets, not the plastic ones, they are padded and what not like a normal seat. Any other suggestions on seats would be great but I do not want to spend a ridiculous amount on seats.

I put the last few pieces in the rear tonight, and fit up the driver side rock slider. I put my fuel cell where I want in as well, just need to make up some actual mounts for it so it sits nice and secure and square in the back there. I cant decide If I want to add two more pieces of not into the back half. They would run from the support that runs between the two main lengths of tube into the cab from the rear to the two pieces of tube coming off of the main hoop in the back to the cab penetration. Really I think its pointless because its not really bracing anything extra that isn't already braced, I just think it would fill up a empty looking spot and finalize it....I cant decide...anyways I ordered some lockouts today for the front so this weekend Im going to try to find some rotors and get the hubs cleaned up and bearings repacked and hopefully get that stuff all together up front and mount the steering column.

The last few days I built the main support for the fuel cell. I am going to make some straps out of some 1"x1/8" flat bar and then pad the inset with rubber so the steel doesnt wear through the plastic.

I have ordered a few different things from ballistic lately...usually just a small order with not real critical parts that I am waiting on. The first time I ever ordered from them I got the run around that a lot of people have heard on many different 4x4 sites. A few weeks back I recieved an ad email from them that gauraunteed shipping with a couple days or they paid the shipping and I ordered a few things from them. Well I decided to again recently, they all of a sudden seem like they turned it around. At first I was ready to pull my hair out trying to get my stuff from them the first big order and I read a lot of ppl were that way as well, but who knows....I received the tube caps from them and welded them in as well.

I orderd hubs a few weeks back with bearings and what not in them. They were used but in good shape. This weekend I picked up a set of warn lockout hubs, and new rotors. I pulled the hubs apart and degreased ever last inch in them and same with the bearings then repacked the bearings with Mobil 1 synthetic grease, and topped it off with new skf hub seals...I put the studs into the new rotor/hub assembly and properly torqued them onto the spindles and installed my lockouts. Now I just need brakes, a passenger high steer arm and steering and the front axle is all complete finally, with parts from about 5 different dana 44's completing it.

I started working on it a little again...I painted the front half of the frame after I cleaned it so I didn't have to fight the trans when it was in there...

I pulled a lot of broken bolts out if the trans and put a new kick down lever on it...

Then in the rear I couldn't come up with something I liked for recovery points..I did some thinking and came up with this..

Other than that I've been looking over every tube joint to see what needs to be finished welded out and doing that

This weekend I picked up gaskets to swap the new intake and oil pan on...tomorrow I'm going to try to accomplish that ans bolt the trans to the engine and set that back into the truck... I messes around for a short time making tabs for the fuel cell straps and I made a gusset to strengthen the bends for the pull points and gives it a little bit of looks....I think I'm going to use it to mount some small stt lights in that area as well...

I put the drive train back in her. I need to fab up a new cross member for the trans yet. I am going to clean the motor up with aluminum valve covers, headers, and AC delete pulley. I also mounted a ballistic Fab battery box in the rear.

I fabbed up a transmission cross member out of some 1.5x.188 square tube and some 1.5x.120 Dom . I made it so it pretty much clears everything and is out of the way of the exhaust. I built some tabs out of 1/4" that i welded to the front control stiffener brackets. Next I'm going to start building the driveshafts then steering.

I started messing with it this week again wrapping up a feel loose ends....finished the fuel cell mounts...before it is finally installed I am going to cut some thin rubber for all the contact area of it...I also welded in some 1/8" into the body where I trimmed it and mounted the grille.

I would really like to look at this rig. I am planning a F-150 truggy build and this looks like a good one to get some ideas from. Fabrication looks well though out and done right.

I bought a few things I've been putting off. I bought some summit plastic seats and made mounts.

I also bought a one ton steering kit of eBay but the smuck who sent them sent me Dana 60 arms and shorted me a a tie rod end so I am still waiting for those to get here.

I mounted the air tank as well in the rear.

Tonight I fit up the last pieces of tube on the side. I plan on getting some thin aluminum to fill the space there. I need to do some work to the drivers side sheet metal yet because the firewall wasn't the same shape as the passenger side so I can make it look somewhat decent.

I built my dash tonight. Below are pics of it mounted loose where it goes.

I finally received all the crap from the knuckle head on eBay in the kit. After receiving the arms I decided I'm going to stick with the beefy btf ones and I ordered my passenger side so that's about where I am right now.
