Privately owned yes.
On public land, No.

The thing with mud on most public land, road, or trail, is that if you are tearing it up to get through they will ticket you even if you are allowed to be there.

Any hole full of water that stays full of water is a big NoNo.

I don't think puddles that are filled up from seasonal drainage or rain are illegal per se. But I'm sure the authorities could find some reason to ticket you. You want to be very careful on any land that isn't private. There are a few roads that get rough over here and I wouldn't be surprised if I get a ticket for even being there when it looks as bad as it does. Not saying I bog but sometimes there is no other way around.

i just looked on google maps and austin road is right next to sweeter road i thnk ive been down tehre heading to ta buddys house before and if you are mistaking it for sweeter then you are allowed to be on there no problem and this is all coming from a personal friend and DNR officer of MANY years here in michigan and muskegon area for sure that sweeter is fine as long as your not slinging 50 ft rooster tails flying through it and youstay on the road. trust me theres a few turn offs that are a blast to ride on but a HUGE fine if you get caught. just stay on the trail and head to a mudd bog or pm me your info and ill set up a group to head to rocks and valleys one weekend or something
