Thumbs down axles

i have a 93 ford ranger with lock outs. I also have a 98 ford explore off road ed. that oesnt have lock outs but push buttom 4 wheel drive. Is it possible to put the axles off the explore onto the ranger? If so can I make the ranger push button 4 wheel drive?

no. .not without alot of work. your ranger has ttb and the explorer has ifs big diff. really if this is something that you really want to do that bad, just swap the bodies.

Actually if you want push button 4wd, you could swap the t-case into the ranger.

Either some creative wiring, or some combo of junkyard parts to make the gem module shift the t-case would be in order.

Personally if you have a manual shift t-case in the ranger, i would leave it, the electrics can be prone to issues.
