Default turbo 350 help

allright need some info ,,,my 350 chevy trans,,,in my jeep lost all forward gears at the pig gig,all i have now is reverse........it was a new trans intell i broke the case in half in grand mans old tank trap.....had someone change it all over to a good case,,,,,,i havent put over 20miles on it,,,,,,,now i loose 1st 2nd and drive............what could it be ,,,,,,besides the guy keep my good trans and gave me a old ready to go trans??????????

since your close by to Chelsea I have buddy who works at the chevy dealer who does trans work on the side. he can hook you up with a case if thats all you need. he's not the cheapest but he knows his shit.

you smoked the foward clutch out of it.

thanks the case is fine,,,,,,,,it was swaped with a good case 2ys ago when i broke it,,,,,,just trying to figure out what happened to make forward gear go?

should all new clutches go like that with less then 20miles on them......thanks for the info,,,,,,,,,i need to talk with the guy ,that put it all together in the new case......i still think he screwed me and gave me a old trans then took all my new parts........just hard to prove it

it only takes 20 miles to smoke them, couple things could of happend.

screwed you and put in junk.... which happens quite often

if he went thru and checked everything out, knicked a seal putting it back together. Or took springs out of the retainer thinking it will make it shift harder (it won't)

putting the pump in broke a cast ring on the pump.

so how hard is it to take a 2 wheel trans and put the out putshaft from my 4 wheel trans in it???

Pull the pump and all the guts down to the output shaft. install in reverse order with 4x4 outputshaft. I would buy a manual for some tips to remove and install the stuff.
