Default jeep cj dana 30 rear lock right

i have a richmond lock right for a dana 30. i was going to put it in my jeep but i wont ever get around to it. it was installed but never ran. i was told it needs a shim kit from the previous owner. he bought it brand new from summit for 300 somthing. will sell for 250 obo. call or text 1-231-383-1686

Interesting. I thought they all had the old school D44's lol. Any idea how to tell the difference? 99% sure mine is a D44 but figure there could be a slight chance it isn't lol. Thanks,

idk what rear end it is. im pretty sure its just a stock 79 cj-5 rear axle. im not to into jeeps. i know more bout 1 ton stuff. the lock right says dana 30 though

The stock rear axle to that machine would be an AMC 20, the front would be a Dana 30. What is the spline count? An AMC 20 will be 29 spline, and a Dana 30 should be 27.

ya. the rear of my jeep is a amc 20. found out todat. the locker is for the front then. wouldnt it be hard to drive down the road with a locker in the front end?

the locker is for a amc 20. the guy told me it was for a dana 30 but i looked up the part number and its for the amc 20. the number is 1710-rl
