Default Is this dangerous? My leaf spring looks broke?

I was at the gas station putting air in my back tire when I looked at my leaf spring and saw this. Click image for larger version

Yes, you need a new main leaf at the least.

the main spring eye has rusted away, you need to replace the main leaf, or preferably the entire pack.

Damn. So theres a huge risk of it breaking? How much would it cost to have a shop replace the whole spring?

replacing a leaf spring is really easy.

getting the rusted bolts out may not be so easy.
