Yeah, because bitching someone out always makes them give you what you want.

Working on your comaro in your garage......... no one's business but yours. I'm with you on this one. Almost everybody on this site has a project in their garage that would fall into this violation. There is more to this story...I think Clarkston Cracker may be correct about the garage door.
Failing to appear for a court date........... STUPID on your part. Qualifies as another classic Kodiak thread. Yep

You really need to understand how to interact with your neighbors and society in general. No one is specifically picking on you, you bring it upon yourself because you don't understand that you can't just do whatever you damn well please.
Totally agree.

Like Clarkston Cracker, I would PAY you $100.00 for any violation you find at my house. We simply live by the law. Always.

objection your honor, asked and answered. I already stated it was part of the right of way - in other words most typically the right of way's are deeded/dedicated to the people at large for the purpose of ingress/egress and public utilities.

technically, without further ordinances, they can't require "you" to mow it. in many rural townships they don't have such ordinances and the DOT/Road Commissions brush hog those areas where they create a safety hazard for intersecting roads/drives.

in most developed areas that have not regressed to ghetto areas, people prefer to mow/maintain those areas as it is the first line of sight in "curb appeal"

perfect, another medium/heavy duty diesel truck with air brakes first thing in the morning, banging a dumpster around... bet that makes all of those neighbors really happy...

ever wonder why commercially zoned property is typically required to maintain larger set-backs from residential property? and even at that why they typically are required to build masonry screen walls to isolate their service areas from said residential property?

But where'd all that stuff come from in the first place?

Thats like shitting on the floor and then being mad that no one gives you props for wiping it up.

And that also shows that your neighbors already have reason to think you're 'that guy'. Even if you cleaned up, you already have a reputation to be a bad neighbor. So no one is going to cut you slack.

I still can't get past one concept in all this.

"Too redneck for Waterford".

This place has got to be epic.

semi's cant be parked at any residence within a city.. almost all towns are like this.. get over it and follow the rules.. as for the garage issue.. Im assuming you cant close the door or something ?? and why the hell do you have a permanent dumpster ? I cant beleive that they would cry over a temp one.

You're pretty much screwed.
Trees and shrubs are not classified as fences. Plant yourself a privacy fence around the dumpster. Plant some more fencing around wherever you think the neighbors can see.
The best neighbors you can have are the ones that can't see you or your property.

yes i do. and at the time of the report which was 1pm on the 6th of this month, i was doing stuff outside and had the garage door open. i can't recall exactly what i was doing but with it being around lunch time i was probably inside making something to eat and didn't notice code enforcement drive by, or i would have went out and asked him what the problem was.

this is exactly why as soon as i can get pre approved for a mortgage im buying land in the middle of a forest, and building a house that can not be seen from any angle except overhead. i've found plenty of lots 20+ acres that are still completely wooded and fit my needs.
