are their any special tools/tricks needed to remove this POS shaft?
I am blessed to work on my brothers on Friday.

ok ok damn, it is pretty stright forward deal, take about 2 hrs and may need a cheater bar extension to get the c-clip to pop the drive-shaft off if that makes sense. But yeah no need for any special tools or anything. but you will think to your self half way through it that you wished you had a cutting torch and 5 gallons of gas, just sayin'

why you going to want to use a cutting torch then when it pisses you off you going to want to dump the 5 gallons of gas on it and burn the damn thing.

fixxored, I guess you need grease in there to prevent rust in the CV's it has no cover boot on it at all. Dust fell out when it hit the concrete.
