A 4x4 blazer with a 5 speed is way more fun than it should be

So far were @ $900 that was the price of the blazer in pieces. the motor is out & going on the stand tonight. Time to tear it down and see why it's locked up and start the rebuild. Pics will follow tonight or tomorrow & im starting to debate i may just go with a 2" suspension & a 2" body lift and some 265/75r16 (32x10.5r16)s and make it a good trail rig the truck was a lil to tight & tall in the trails. Im gonna lock the rear & pry leave the front open with either a 3.73 or a 4.11 gear not sure yet.

Still havent gotten off my ass to pull the motor apart and see why it's locked up I'm doing that tonight when i get home. But i did just buy a 2" body lift came in yesterday from perfomance accesories part # 152 for $192.00 so the blazer so far is sitting at $1092.00 and just starting to begin im hoping to do a 2" suspension lift from rough country also soon. Then i'm trying to find a set of cutout flares that arent $800 for a set of them

Drained the oil lots of alluminum came w it. i havent completely tore it down it was getting a lil to late last night but i def have a rear main bearing thats toast and took the crank w it. & even after all my main caps were off though still couldnt spin the crank w a breaker bar and all the plugs out. So one by one i started pulling rod caps & something is locked up in the number 5 cylinder so complete tear down will begin monday. I'm expecting to need new pistons crank possible head damage depending why its locked in there. This motor was out of a running 98 blazer but had sat for over 4 years it ran with out a noise at idle for about 2 mins before it locked up so im a little curious. I bought this truck not running and in pieces so i dont know what im in for yet.

yea idk i've been @ the whole junk yard swap thing for a while w selling used cars back and forth it's a good cheap idea for the turn n burn stuff, but im just gonna go thru the whole thing and start from scratch like when i did my 355 in my nova. The only stock gm part left to the motor was the block. Plus then i know everything is new plastigauged out proper and not had 100k of someone else's beating's i plan to beat this thing hard and need it to stay together. Plus i have a huge advantage bc i get parts dirt ass cheap

motor rebuild (complete re-ring w all new bearings & crank) will start tuesday when my parts come in fel-pro head set, conversion set , head bolts, standard crankshaft, all new bearings, and new cast rings all for $356.25 so the current build price is $1448.25 hoping to keep this one below $4500

See the s10 you built up at romeo auto parts when ever I drive by. Hopefully this one looks just as good when done.
