There is a Howell Melon Festival in town this weekend, so maybe they'll be by the train depot in Howell.

You think the white robes would get caught in the wheels or something?

I like the Urals but I would take a Royal Enfield over one.

I didn't know Indian was building them now!

I would take either really at this point. When I was in Sweden a few years ago I was talking to a guy that was on one. 1943 and it was immaculate!

Even more I would like a BMW dualsport but it has been a long time since I rode.

Well, 'Built in India', I should have said.

I have has several Brit built bikes, electrical problems aside they were good, if crude, bikes. I've looked at the 'new' Royal Enfields, mechanically they are the same as Brit bikes, but they now have either India, China, or Japan made electrics. No more Prince of Darkness!

Hah. Good nickname, Prince Of Darkness!

My dad had a BSA when I was a kid. He dumped it to avoid getting hit by an idiot driver near the house. Ma saw it and had a fit. That was the end of his "Then Came Bronson" days (that show was on when he had it, Looked, he had an HD).

Funny thing- in the 50's there were rebadged Royal Enfields sold as Indian motorcycles...

I remember back when I used to frequent Jeepforum. someone had found a site dedicated entirely to making their vehicles more fuel efficient through whatever means necessary.

some poor soul actually posted his "build" to Jeepforum searching for praise and admiration.

I must find this thread!
