I would have loved to see some cars hit this doing 70mph

I was right there at about 11:30 today. The road did feel bumpy , I just wrote it of as michigan roads.

Reminds me of when this happened to 196 between Hudsonville and G.R. many years ago. No expansion joints was the main thing.

It was not like that when I drove by, I set my cruise about 78, In the suburban It would have been bad ,very bad.

I was watching the news tonight and I guess a few cars did hit it, you see fresh scrape marks on the joint it's self and more marks something like 80ft down the road where they landed and bottomed out

MDOT says at least two cars struck the buckled section of the roadway and went airborne. Marks on the roadway indicate that one of the cars flew about 60 feet, the other more than 90 feet.
