Sunburns suck ze deek

I was helping a buddy do some yard work around his house Saturday and my shoulders and back are crispy. When I got out of the shower today the itchiness got so bad, I tried aloe with no help. I had no choice but to haul ass to CVS and buy Benedryl. Now I'm pretty loopy but the back is still a little itchy. What works for you guys?

This works great. Also, instead of Aloe try Noxema. Aloe has a tendency to dry your skin out causing it to peel and crack more, Noxema will take out the burning feeling while moisturizing which is what your skin really needs.

Oh.....and lots of ice cold beer

To help heal, keep hydrated and use a water based skin moisturizer.

As for the discomfort, try Vagasil.

Solarcain...then once it's dry lather your burn up lotion like you're buffalo bill!

Keep the skin from drying out and you'll be much better off

Trust the red head when it comes to sunburns. I have had them so bad that I get blisters all over my skin. Oh and prepare for the peeling and feeling like a snake. Also the best sunblock I have found is the spray on neutragena one.. keep some with you from now on.

Oh I know all about the peeling. I have just never had a sunburn itch this painfully before though. It was horrible. I looked like a crackhead in CVS sratching my shoulders and back while standing in line to pay for the benedryl

I know the pain today. I was out fishing from 5:45am until 2pm. Stupid me for not getting any sunblock.
