Default Things are not what they seem, Cali rigs do rust.

In an earlier thread, Grandman noted the lack of rust on the rigs I posted pictures of.

Well, I'm going to be working on my CJ soon, and here is why:

Driver's Side Flooring, there is still fiberglass from previous owner in there. My oil gauge was f'd up too, hence the deck (what's left of it) is covered in oil presently.

Passenger's side floor is... um... not there. The fiberglass blew out a few days ago. Due to the extensive deterioration, the body mounts aren't doing a damn thing, the body is resting on the frame and driveline.

Also, the structural integrity of the body is not so good. These kick panels (rockers) look pretty much the same on both sides.

So Grandman... as you can see, there is some rust on California rigs. The age of mine is certainly a factor. I can't seem to find any rust on the wife's YJ though. I shudder to think about what it'd look like if it were a Michigan rig as nothing was ever undercoated on it. Once I get the new flooring in there, that will be rectified also.

this rig was represented as being a "career desert" Jeep. Meh, either way, gotta fix it.
