Cool My 1992 XJ

So I am really bored right now and decided that it was time to tell you all the story of why I am named $250 XJ.

Last spring, my dad came home and told me about a Jeep down the road that was for sale. I had wanted one for a while and so we went and looked at it and bought it later that night, for $250. The EX-US Forest Service Jeep Cherokee has been rolled twice and hit one guard rail in the drivers rear quarter panel. Its a 2 door with a 4.0 HO, 231 and 30 axles. When I bought the Jeep, It needed a fuel pump, Since then I have thrown lots of cash into it with my lift and running gear and all.

Below are pictures of the floor that I was missing when I bought it, a few trips to Silver Lake with Fellow GL4x4 members, Greasemonkey, 94gmcsonoma, and Jeepinlunatic from this spring. The last one is the bumper that I just made for the rear.

More Pics: The drivers side door now matches the rest of the Jeep. I couldn't stand it being red like it was.

Dude, that bumper that I made is what took up all of the spare time I had when I was home, sorry I never made it back down to say Hi to you and Ryan, I'll see you guys sometime soon. And Yes, Wheeling is a must Jason, Say the word and I'm in.

thats all the pics I have of the thing. I basically cut the crap stuff out and then cut pieces that fit in the hump that lowered down to the "floor" level. Once I did this, I just cut one peice plate and welded it to all the stuff I already had there and the stuff that i filled the hole from the the hump to the floor with. I had alot of grease under the hump that was thrown up there from the tranny over all of the years. I must have caught that greasy mess on fire at least 20 times during all of my welding.

I'm a second year up at Tech and will hopefully have a different ride by the time I meet you up here. One that is worth putting money and time into. This one was just saved from the crusher.

A high center of gravity, 304 and a 17 yr old behind the wheel are never a good combo.
