8.5 factory pinion shim???????

does anyone know the thickness of the factory 8.5 gm 10 bolt pinion shim? i have a basket case job, and need to know thickness of factory pinion shim, please and thank you, david

I don't believe they are the same case to case, and the shim thickness might be etched in the pinion

Sorry I missed this - they are different to set the pattern. IIRC, the one that was on my pinion (2004 10-bolt) was 0.014" --- if that helps out any.
