Default 5X4.5 Question

Bought a 2011 VW Golf Friday, and it came with stock wheels.

Pattern shows for this car as 5 X 112. Does anyone know if this is the same as 5 on 4.5? Doing the math it comes out to like 4.41 inches, but will 4.5 work?

I wanna order some new wheels, but want to know if I'm limited to the metric system bolt pattern.

Thats too bad, cuz most of the wheel styles stink.

Not true.

There are "metric" wheels labeled as 5x114.3. These are also 5x4.5.

But to the OP, yes you must get a 5x112 or buy adapters. Most audi/BMW/Mercedes will use the 5x112. Just watch for center bore and BS. You can always get hub rings and wheel spacers but they add to the cost of the wheel.
