Im looking for a dana 44 front with a driver side drop, low pinion. Really only need the housing but will consider the whole axle.

J10 length would be good but i can cut some length out as i will be flipping it and running it as a high pinion on the passenger side.

I have an 8 lug model out of a 70's chevy 3/4 ton..with 410 gears...I am going to use the brakes from it and might take the ring and pinion...the housing will be cheap!

you can't flip a low pinion upside down to get a high pinion unless you want it to spin backwards.

it doesn't work that way. a high pinion is a high pinion from the start. special housing and special gears.

you can't put high pinion gears into a low pinion housing.

and there is no such thing as reverse rotation gears.

I understand how it works. If i place the pinion on the other side of the ring gear the axle will now drive in reverse. But if i swap that gear out with a reverse cut gear, which means the helix of the gears now flow the opposite way. The axle will drive forward. Hence reverse cut gear.

whatever. buy your parts. try and make it all fit.

and when it doesn't work, you don't need to apologize to me because you are wrong.

i am just trying to save you time and money, but you don't have to listen to me.
